Sunday, Sunday

This day has been one of the most relaxing ones I've had for a long, long time.  Can't say I've done much of anything but I did get a few necessary errands run.

The weather person says we will be blessed with 4 to 8 inches of fresh snow tomorrow!  Oh, Joy!  I love how the stuff looks as it's falling when I'm in the warm, cozy house looking out. But I know there will be shoveling involved at some point tomorrow so I'll rummage through the bathroom today to find the liniment that I know will be needed on a couple of aching backs tomorrow night.

I decided I'd better make my grocery run today instead of waiting until Monday as I usually do. I try to do all my shopping to Monday or Tuesday because, you know, the stores are rather empty and I don't have to struggle with hoards of other shoppers as there are on the weekends. But I pulled up my big girl panties and made the trek to the store.  I was able to deal with the mini mob in there and was able to get out in record time for a Sunday.  Maybe I was there during Packer football time--that would explain how easy it was. :o)

That accomplished, I jumped back in the car to go to the JoAnn's about 30 miles away. I had a 60% coupon and I needed muslin for the back of my friend's quilt so I went there and got a great deal. I had another coupon for 40% off so I used that on a pillow form that I'll use in the near future.  I thought about taking pictures of the muslin and the undressed (Naked!  Oh my!) pillow but decided that was just too boring.

Now I'm back home with nothing to do until it's time to fix dinner and settle in for my Sunday night dose of Masterpiece Theater.  I'm thinking of soaking my toes for awhile and giving myself a nice pedicure. Or I may simply take out my Kindle and play stupid, mind-numbing games for an hour or two.  What to do?  What to do?  I guess I'll let you know tomorrow what I decided.  Have a great, relaxing evening wherever you are.

  1. OK – the cat drinking wine made me laugh my socks off ...Did your relaxing day involve wine?

I dont battle crowds at the grocery store – I shop online and have it delivered but when I used to shop we did it on Wednesday nights because it was blissfully quiet !
